Tour des Aiguilles Rouges
August, 2025
The Tour des Aiguilles Rouges is a spectacular multi-day circuit in the French Alps that loops around the Aiguilles Rouges massif, opposite Mont Blanc from the Chamonix valley. Typically completed in 2–4 days, it links high balconies, rocky ridgelines, and tranquil forest paths, delivering constant, wide-open views of glaciers and the highest peaks of the Mont Blanc range. The route passes classic vantage points such as Lac Blanc and offers a mix of well-marked trails, steep ascents, and airy traverses that feel alpine without requiring technical climbing. You can tailor the itinerary with mountain huts, small hotels, or cable cars to shorten stages, making it accessible to fit hikers with a sense of adventure. Best enjoyed in summer and early autumn, it combines dramatic scenery, wildlife, and some of the finest viewpoints in the Alps.
Les Corberes
December, 2025
The Corbières are a mountain region in the Languedoc-Roussillon in southeastern France, located in the departements of Aude and Pyrénées-Orientales. The river Aude borders the Corbières to the west and north, and the river Agly more or less to the south. The eastern border is the Mediterranean Sea. The eastern part of the Corbières bordering the Mediterranean and the Etangs is also known as the Corbières Maritimes; its climate and vegetation (thermo-mediterranean vegetation) are distinct from those in the western part. It is the only true foothill of the Pyrenees on their northern side. The highest point of the Corbières is the 1,230 m high Pic de Bugarach.

For many Europeans, Morocco is an exotic country despite its closeness to the continent. However, travelling there is fairly easy and offers good chances of safe adventures. After my previous 2007 visit, I joined a group for a chance of exploring the High Atlas mountains.
